Reem Mohammed Abdulaziz Al-Samei
Director of Public Policy Program
A Yemeni researcher specialising in political science and international relations. Her research focuses on public policy, peacebuilding, fragile states, conflict analysis, and external interventions, with particular emphasis on institutional reconstruction and public policy in conflict-affected environments, as well as producing knowledge that supports decision-making in Yemen and the wider Arab region.
Her professional experience includes working as an author and editor of encyclopedic entries at the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, and serving as Coordinator of the Public Policy Fellowship Program during Conflict. She has also worked as a Research Assistant at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and as a Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at Sana’a University.
She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, graduating with Excellent honours with Distinction, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Sana’a University, graduating with Excellent honours with Distinction.
