Director of Political Studies Program

A Yemeni researcher specialising in international relations and foreign policy analysis. His research focuses on foreign policy, regional security, geopolitics, Middle Eastern affairs, fragile states and conflict studies, with particular emphasis on Yemeni politics, European foreign policy, non-state actors, transformations in the international order, and the production of strategic analysis to support decision-making.

His professional experience includes working as an independent researcher at the Shams Center for Consulting and Strategic Research, where he contributed to the preparation of peer-reviewed studies, policy papers, situation assessments, and strategic analyses addressing foreign policy, regional security, and Yemeni and international affairs. He is the author of America and China: Artificial Intelligence and the Balance of Great Powers and has published several scholarly articles in peer-reviewed academic journals.

He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Institute of Arab Research and Studies in Cairo, graduating with Excellent honours, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Sana’a University, graduating with Very Good honours.
